Susan has been hanging wallpaper for over 20 years. She attended the U.S. School of Professional Paperhanging in Rutland, Vermont in the winter and spring of 1987. There she received formal instruction in wall preparation, materials estimating and wallpaper hanging in a variety of locations, under various conditions. She was certified in the summer of 1987 after rigorous hands-on and written testing.

Susan honed her wallpaper hanging skills in the Northeast, working for New York and New Jersey decorators and clients alike for almost 20 years. There she first began installing unusual and fashionable, high-end wallcoverings -- such as glass-beaded, cork, metallic, and hand-painted papers.

Susan continued her formal education through her involvement in the National Guild of Professional Paperhanging. The Guild is a nationwide organization dedicated to the ongoing education of the professional paperhanger. Susan served as Chapter President in New Jersey for four years and continues to remain active in the Guild.

Susan moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 2005. She successfully re-started her business and re-built her clientele with a steady stream of clients and decorators in Buncombe, Henderson, Transylvania, and Haywood Counties. Susan added the Biltmore as a client in 2012, with her installation of The Vanderbilts at Home and Abroad mural exhibition in the Legacy building!

Susan is especially proud of her involvement with Habitat for Humanity Home Store, where she has been donating half a day of service every week since 2005, and her professionalism. She treats your home as if it were her own, by being neat and clean, performing work on the day and time as specified, promptly returning phone calls and using only the highest quality adhesives and primers.
